This 8-hour program* explains the concept of energy efficiency and why energy codes are an important piece of the building construction process. We will take an in-depth look at the vital systems that must interact with each other in order to save energy and make the home more comfortable for occupants.
Topics of instruction include:
• International Energy Conservation Code and code updates
• Building envelope and pressure boundaries
• Insulation and vapor barriers
• Mechanical systems and load calculations
• Compliance paths and HERS ratings
• Lighting systems
• Inspection checklists
• Blower door and duct tightness testing

8 hrs. ICC ceu's offered for this program.

This class takes a multi-dimensional look at building code and fire code requirements related to permitting, plan review, construction, and inspection of these unique occupancies.

This 6-hour program* will give you the knowledge needed to better understand the challenges associated with these operations and processes. Class will be based on the 2018 International Codes and related reference documents.
